SD # 60 – Summer Learning Program (Cancelled for 2021)

  • All camps will run from July 2 to July 12 (2 weeks) from 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
  • FREE, except for a $60 Non-Refundable fee per child to cover consumable materials and snacks. Payment is required to complete registration.

Primary & Lower Intermediate Summer Programs:

For students entering Grade 1 – 5ish in September. (enrolment dependent, as numbers and ages will dictate groupings)

  • Ex. A group may consist of grade 1,2,3
  • Or A group may consist of grade 1,2,3,4
  • Or A group may consist of grade 2,3,4,5

These camps will run from July 2 to 12 from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. These programs will be Theme Based Learning. The Theme Based Learning Projects will include subject areas such as:

  • Physical Education
  • Language Arts
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Arts
  • Math
  • Technology
  • Coding

Intermediate & Middle School Summer Programs:

For students entering Grade 4ish – 9 in September. (enrolment dependent, as numbers and ages will dictate groupings)

  • Ex. A group may consist of grade 4,5,6
  • Or A group may consist of grade 5,6,7
  • Or A group may consist of grade 5,6,7,8,9
  • Or A group may consist of grade 6,7,8,9

These camps will run from July 2 to 12 from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

These programs will be Theme Based Learning. The Theme Based Learning Projects will put emphasis on Coding & Robotics and will include subject areas such as:

  • Physical Education
  • Language Arts
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Arts
  • Math
  • Technology
  • Coding & Robotics

The Key Learning Centre provides alternative style educational programs to British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.
Our school is located in the heart of the bustling community of Fort St. John overlooking the beautiful Peace River Valley. We house multiple programs including distributed learning (distance education), continuing education and an alternate education program.
We enroll a population of more than 800 students, offering programs for K-12 students, as well as adults. Adult students use our programs both to graduate and to upgrade in order to pursue post-secondary education goals.
